The Raptor Alert app uses Google to log in. This means that after you enter your Hampton Park email address, the app passes you over to Google to sign in with your Hampton Park email and password. Once successfully signed in, Google passes you back to the Raptop App. There are a few things to remember related to this.
- You need to use your Hampton Park Google account, not your personal Google account. You may logged into your phone with your personal Google/Gmail account. For iPhones, this means you may be logged in to your personal Google account in the Safari internet browser. For Android phones, your phone will default to the account the phone is registered to.
- Since Raptor uses Google to sign you in and Google uses 2-step verification (Google's term for multifactor authentication), you may need to switch over to the Gmail app (or your authenticator app) to process the 2-step authentication and then return to the Raptor app.
- Raptor updates its app regularly. This is to add features, fix bugs, fix potential security issues, and adjust their app in responses to changes made by new versions of the Apple iOS or Google Android operating systems.
- Your phone may be set to update apps automatically or require manual updating. If you have set your phone to update apps automatically, you are likely always running the newest version of the app as your phone updated the app soon after it was released in the app store. If you not set for manual updates, you may be prompted to update the app, or may need to manually update the app if it is not working.
- If the app is not working properly, you can uninstall and reinstall it from the app store as you would other apps.
