If you cannot print from Google Chrome, but can print from other programs, like Microsoft Word, these instructions may help. In May of 2024, a Google Chrome update changed the way that the Print Preview works and this affected certain Windows 10 users. There is a workaround that allows you to skip the print preview screen and go straight to the Windows print dialog screen, Here is how to fix this.
- Copythis text below
--disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC
- Locate the Shortcut (on the Desktop) that you click to open Google Chrome
- Right-click on this shortcut
- Click Properties
- Locate the Target and the part ending in chrome.exe"
- Pasteafter this (note there is a space after the chome.exe") It should now look like this:
"C:\Program Files\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe" --disable-features=PrintCompositorLPAC
Click OK
- Close Google Chrome
- Re-open Google Chrome using this shortcut
- Try to Print
Note: To save a page as PDF, you will print to "Microsoft Print to PDF"
