You can post a YouTube video in Google Classroom for students to watch. This can be part of an assignment or simply posted in the class stream. Here are the steps to post it in the stream.


  1. Open the YouTube video you would liek the students to watch and copy the URL (the web address from the address bar)
  2. Open the Google Classroom
  3. Click "Announce something to your class"
  4. Click the YouTube icon
  5. Paste the YouTube video URL and click the search icon
  6. After the video is shown, click Add video
  7. Type instructions in the announcements (this cannot be blank) and click Post
