There are several reasons that a website might be blocked. Here are the most common and how to deal with them.

Go Guardian has blocked a webpage.

If you are a student, a teacher may have blocked access to certain websites during class. Please ask your teacher if you have questions. If you are not in a class currently, determine what class you are normally in at this time of day and contact that teacher. View additional GoGuardian blocked website messages.

Your connection is not private.

This is due to a security certificate not matching. A common reason for this is that you attempted to view an HTTPS website that is blocked by our Fortiguard server. In the address bar, try removing the "S" in HTTPS and see if you get the Fortiguard error message (described below). If not it could be an expired SSL certificate on the website or the date on your computer is off significantly.

Fortiguard has blocked a website.

Fortiguard is our firewall that filters internet content while you are connected to an on-campus network. The site you are attempting to access is not allowed at Hampton Park. We don't allow search engines, inappropriate content, or malicious site. If none of these apply, another common reason that this error occurs is that a website is too new to have been rated by Fortiguard. You may click the link to request Fortiguard to review the category rating for this website. The review takes 5 to 15 minutes, but the website will not be accessible until 24 hours later.

YouTube video will not play.

This is likely because you are a student and the video or channel has not been approved for Hampton Park. Please ask your teacher to approve it.
