Secure Print is a virtual print queue that allows to to print to almost any printer on the Hampton Park network. This works by first printing your document, and then logging in to the printer (with your ID card or passcode) to release the print job.
This is useful if you are not sure which printer you want to use. Perhaps someone is using the printer you intended to use or it is unavailable due to maintenance. You can simply walk to the next printer, scan your ID card and release the print job. Additionally, you don't have to worry about people viewing your confidential material as it will not print until you walk to the printer and release it. This is also helpful if you need to load colored paper.
Secure Print requires normal print permissions (Windows computer, installed printer, on the staff network, etc...) and your need to be able to login to the printer with your ID card, passcode, or username and password. Secure Print does not work on the smaller printers in the Computer Lab, Auditorium Lobby, or Yearick building as you are not able to log in to those models.
